Overview
Role: Automotive Service Technician, specializing as a Certified State Inspector, Emissions & Safety Inspector, or Smog Inspector in Training.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and light/wiper inspections.
- Evaluate customer needs and provide reliable vehicle maintenance to ensure safety and performance.
- Conduct state, smog, safety, and emissions inspections once certified.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Master product and service knowledge, acting as a trusted advisor to customers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least one year of recent automotive experience or completion of an automotive program.
- Ability to obtain State Inspector Certification within 90 days.
- Flexibility to work weekends, with a friendly attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Physical ability to stand, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Strong reading, writing, and speaking English skills.
