Overview
Role: HGV Class 1 Driver-Shunter in Derby, responsible for safe, efficient deliveries and on-site shunting within a healthcare logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver goods safely, on time, and provide excellent customer service.
- Support on-site shunting operations to ensure smooth distribution center functioning.
- Maintain communication with the Transport Office and report issues promptly.
- Accurately complete delivery documentation and conduct daily vehicle checks.
- Ensure loads are secured and transported in compliance with legal and company standards.
- Adhere to road traffic laws, driver regulations, and safety protocols.
- Report incidents, defects, or safety concerns immediately, upholding high safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Knowledge of driver hours' regulations and transport legislation.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Safety-conscious with a commitment to compliance.
- Previous Class 1 driving/shunting experience is desirable.
