Overview
Diesel Mechanic Level A to maintain and repair heavy-duty trucks and equipment used in environmental and waste services. Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brake systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and complex repairs
- Diagnose and repair drivability and mechanical issues using advanced troubleshooting methods
- Inspect, adjust, and service diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and air brake components
- Ensure all maintenance and repairs meet safety, environmental, and DOT requirements
- Maintain accurate workmanship and follow shop and safety procedures
Qualifications & skills:
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic with strong Level A diagnostic capability
- Deep knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brake systems
- Strong attention to safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment
