Overview
Role: Class A City Driver responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to pick up and deliver freight within the city, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Responsibilities: Drive and inspect vehicles, load and unload freight, secure cargo, perform mechanical checks, and maintain accurate compliance records. Adhere to safety and regulatory standards, including handling hazardous materials and using freight handling equipment when available.
- Qualifications: Minimum of one year of verifiable interstate driving experience or two years with a driving school diploma. Pass a PITT OHIO driving test and obtain Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days if applicable. Must have a valid driver’s license, meet physical and drug screening requirements, and demonstrate good driving history with no recent suspensions or serious violations.
- Skills: Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and operate safety equipment. Willingness to comply with employment and safety policies, including consent to driver-facing event recorders.
