Class 2 Driver Essex

Overview

We are seeking a reliable Class 2 HGV Recovery Driver to join our growing team. This customer-facing role requires excellent driving skills, safety awareness, and professionalism.

Operate flatbed lorries to deliver damaged or broken-down vehicles safely.

Conduct vehicle inspections and maintain accurate delivery records.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding schedules and delays.

Adhere to traffic laws and report vehicle issues promptly.

Assist with vehicle maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£15 increasing to £16 after probation), flexible overtime, 28 days holiday, pension, training, PPE, and employee discounts. The shift pattern is mid-shift, 11am-11pm or 12pm-12am, on a 5 on/3 off basis, based at Essex depots.

Requirements include a valid UK driving licence with appropriate endorsements, minimum one year’s experience, CPC card, clean DBS record, and strong customer service skills. Mechanical knowledge and recovery experience are desirable.
