Overview
We are seeking a full-time HGV Class 1 Driver (Tramper) based in Heysham to operate a dedicated vehicle from the port.
This role offers daytime driving, no night work, with normal shifts Monday to Friday and optional weekend overtime. The position starts from £39,000 annually, plus a quarterly bonus, with benefits including on-site parking and a company pension after probation.
Key responsibilities include delivering goods safely and on time, maintaining vehicle and personal cleanliness, managing documentation, and providing excellent customer service. Experience with tautliner and flatbed work, along with an ADR license, is advantageous. Drivers should be able to work 15-hour shifts when required and operate within Tacho regulations. Some overnight stays may be required for day drivers.
Requirements include a valid Class 1 Licence, CPC Card, and at least 1 year of driving experience. The role is vital to the transportation team, offering a stable, permanent position with good earning potential and benefits.
