Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Class 1 Driver for a full-time, permanent role in Colchester. Working Monday to Friday on day shifts, the role offers a salary starting at £35,642.10, with an increase in July.
- Operate Class 1 lorries to deliver goods safely and efficiently.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo properly.
- Maintain accurate delivery records.
- Follow traffic laws and prioritize safety.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, a valid commercial driving licence, basic mechanical knowledge, and experience in driving and warehouse operations. The role requires reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The position involves 50 hours per week on day shifts.
