We are seeking a dependable HGV Cover Driver to provide flexible driving support across various operations, including Class 1 and Class 2 work, collections, deliveries, and trunking shifts.
£16.00 per hour with an enhanced rate for trunking shifts and a £1,000 joining bonus (£500 after 1 month, £500 after 3 months).
Full-time role based at Hill Barton Depot, Exeter, with 45-50 hours weekly, involving day and night shifts.
Responsibilities include operating different HGV classes, multi-drop deliveries, trunking runs, vehicle checks, safe loading/unloading, and using handheld terminals.
Ideal candidates will hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) license, up-to-date CPC, and have experience with pallet trunking and road safety regulations.
Requires good time-keeping, communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work variable shifts. All applicants must pass a basic DBS check.
