Overview
Join our team as a Material Handler responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment used to move packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and ULDs. You will assist in pallet buildup and breakdown, serve as a liaison with ULD repair vendors, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight using proper equipment or assistance
- Capability to walk, stand, bend, squat, and work in all weather conditions
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders if needed
- Effective communication skills in noisy environments
- Completion of basic and re-currency training
- Valid driver’s license for operating motorized conveyances
Key responsibilities:
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently for package movement
- Assist with pallet buildup and breakdown of heavyweight freight
- Coordinate with ULD repair vendors when required
- Work in a safety-conscious manner, maintaining alertness at all times
This role does not require specific education or experience. A drug test is mandatory. The position may involve working in various weather conditions and environments, including enclosed spaces and elevated areas.
